Moisture Genie

The Moisture Genie is comprised of a single hose that fits into a simple airflow divider at the bottom of the blowpipe stock. Black waxed hemp secures it in place.  

A small tube from the airflow divider directs a pre-calibrated flow of air to the chanter stock area, while the rest of the air goes to the single canister in the pipe bag via a ridged tube hose. As an added bonus, the ridges of the hose will collect condensation prior to the airstream entering into the annulus of the easily removable mesh canister which contains activated alumina as the desiccant.

The system provides a dual zone of humidity within the pipe bag keeping the chanter reed bright and stable, while keeping the drone reeds free of moisture. This has the desired result in both dry and wet climates!
